Lighting in supermarkets is a key factor in enhancing the shopping experience, and in our recent lighting project for a supermarket in Salamanca, we have implemented a comprehensive solution ranging from linear systems to specialised luminaires for food display cabinets, track-mounted spotlights with adapted colour temperature, and suspended square decorative structures. This design not only improves product visibility, but also optimises the use of space, creating an attractive and functional environment for customers.

One of the key elements in this project is the use of linear systems that ensure uniform lighting throughout the aisles and display areas of the supermarket. These systems are designed to provide bright and consistent light, making it easier for customers to identify and select products. Linear lighting also contributes to an orderly and professional presentation of the space, enhancing the overall perception of the supermarket.

For the food display cases, specific luminaires were installed that are designed to highlight the freshness and quality of the food on display. For example, in the fresh produce section, a colour temperature was used that enhances the vibrant tones of fruit and vegetables, while in areas such as the bakery, a warmer light was chosen to highlight the golden tones of the breads and pastries.

An innovative aspect of this project was the incorporation of suspended square decorative structures. These structures not only serve an aesthetic function, bringing a modern and elegant touch to the interior design of the supermarket, but also act as functional elements that integrate additional lighting. By suspending these structures, an efficient use of vertical space is achieved, creating a sense of spaciousness and visually organising the different areas of the supermarket.
