In the vibrant city of Brussels, where cycling is a passion shared by many, we were presented with the exciting opportunity to design the lighting system for a new bike shop located in one of the busiest areas of the city. This lighting project was developed with a specific focus on the needs of the space and how to maximise the visibility and appeal of the products on display, while creating a welcoming and modern environment that invites customers to explore every corner of the shop.

To meet these objectives, our design team focused on implementing a lighting system that combined decorative wall sconces and track spotlights. The wall sconces not only provide soft, ambient lighting, but also add an aesthetic touch that complements the industrial and modern style of the shop. Strategically placed, these wall sconces help to create zones of light and shadow that add depth to the space, highlighting architectural elements and adding additional visual interest.

The track spotlights, on the other hand, were used to ensure precise spot lighting in key areas of the shop, such as the bike and accessory displays. These spotlights allow specific products to be highlighted, drawing customers' attention to the most prominent bikes and equipment. In addition, the flexibility of the track spotlights allows the direction of light to be adjusted as required, which is ideal for a constantly changing retail environment such as a bike shop where displays may rotate frequently.

A crucial aspect of this project was the need to create a bright and welcoming space that could stand out in such a dynamic urban environment as Brussels. The shop is located in a high-traffic area, so it was essential that the interior of the shop was not only visible from the outside, but also attractive to passers-by. The combination of decorative wall lights and spotlights not only improves visibility, but also creates an ambience that invites customers to enter and explore, thus increasing the chances of conversion and sales.

The end result of this project is a retail space that is both functional and visually striking.
